A One Dimensional Runner?

I’m not shy in saying I’m more than a little obsessed with running.

Call me a running nerd, a track geek, miles addicted, endorphin fanatic, four hundred meter track minded…I really don’t care.

When it comes right down to it, yes, I know I’m a running nerd and I’m more than okay with it.

1) Who will join me in making this a miles inclusive weekend?

2) How has your running side made you feel better just TODAY?
Won’t lie, my car is broken, I may have just had my identity stolen, and my car broke before I could get to Chipotle. BUT, I had a really good run this morning so I can’t say the day was a total wash. A saner person would probably be a little more upset than this runnerchick. [PS- Runners are more mentally tough in LIFE too. 🙂 ]

3) How have you been playing with speed and paces lately? Last hard workout, last striders before a race, etc.

  1. Oh no! Cait :-(.

Glad you at least got that run in! I haven’t been doing much speed work this week. I needed a rest! But I got an amazing long run in, so life’s good 😉

    • woot woot for long runs!! life is good. 🙂
PS- arrg, oh well. the joke is on them, of all the identities to swipe they shoulda picked a more interesting person. 😉

  2. awchh, I’m sorry about your car!! 🙁
I’ve always enjoyed and liked running, but I think I’ve really fallen in love with it the last couple of months!
Took the day off yesterday so hoping for a good couple of runs this weekend!

  3. Oh man! Hope ur car’s gonna be ok!

I ran 12 miles today 3weeks away from a half marathon. I haven’t done any Speedwork in weeks due to the snow. I probably should get on that!

My run made me feel confident in every aspect of my life today!

  4. Oh bummer about the car and whoever is running around trying to be Cait – I totally get why! You rock. Luckily you are a runner and still have your other “ride” 😉

I took an unplanned rest day yesterday. Run down and on the verge of getting sick. Waking up this morning and getting my run on was like a big relief. I didn’t realise how much I needed it till I did it.

Hope everything sorts out your end and thank goodness for running!

    :=)

    • look at u being all smart and mature and resting!! way to go! i hope u’re able to evade the sickness and are feeling okay! ugh…hate that junk. 😛 and thanks for all the kind words. XOXO u girl! 🙂

  5. Huge bummer about your car – hope it is an easy (not expensive!) fix!!
And, I really hope that you didn’t get your identity stolen – what a huge pain!!
You’re right – running always makes things better!
No running for me this weekend – gotta rest the old legs!

  6. Oh no! Hope the car is fixed up easily… I totally agree, though – when I get in a good workout (for me it doesn’t HAVE TO be running though), that’s something I can hold on to (secretly, privately) for the rest of the day. No matter what anyone says/does, I have that little voice in side of me saying, “YEAH, but I ran 10 miles before 7 AM this morning. You can’t take that away!” Or similar. Occasionally with a “Did YOU?!” added on there. Snarky (in my head), but true…

[Sorry, I’m a bit late to the party here. For some reason, your posts show up in my reader all at once, several at a time…late for most. ?]

    • hahah…i have the SAME inner monologue going on in my brain, so at least we can be snarky together. 😉
SHOOT! i dunno wat’s up with the reader, maybe try clearing it and then reloading it?? i’m sorry…i hate tech junk. 🙁
