I’m one of those people who is barely a runner – but I think I figured out long ago that I won’t ever be speedy (ahem like you miss Cait!) so I better stick to long distances. That way non-runners will still be impressed. Ha!
🙂
Haha those people just crack me up!! My friend/coach/training partner is going to be running in the olympic trials marathon – with the A standard I might add – But when she tells people she’s “never run Boston” they’re all like “WTF???” I just smile and shake my head haha. I’ve never run a marathon, the Half is my preferred distance at the moment – or it would be, if I weren’t incapacitated – but the full 26.2 is definitely where I’m headed someday!
Totally with you!!! Never ran a marathon. Planning on is Spring of 2012…however I am just going to see how it goes. Long distance is not something the really appeals to me.
I have ran many half-marathons…and I totally know the “look” when I tell people I’ve never done a full. All this and I have a running blog?!?!
You are a runner if… you consider yourself one. It’s all for the love of the game. Long, short, fast, slow. Frequent, absent, seasonal, year-round. Runners know who they are.
