I am definitely vulnerable to getting over-excited too early and then crashing later :/ This (and your article) are really useful! I think part of my problem in the past is thinking I need more time to prepare than I really do – by the time race X rolls around, I’m already a bit burnt out. I need to sign up for things that are closer and recognise that 3 months is actually enough (if I haven’t been off injured or something)!

glad u found some useful tips! and it is true that if u’ve got a solid base u really don’t need too much time sharpen up into race shape. 🙂
Oh I totally prefer the summer Olympics over the winter Olympics…I can’t wait to watch the marathon this summer!!
