I usually share my goals – I’m so new to racing that they’re never THAT lofty anyway. Although I was super bummer when I broadcast to everyone that I wanted to beat Oprah, and then missed the mark by 7 minutes! Next time FOR SURE!
🙂
No races here today because no turkey day for us!! It’s okay though! I would run one if there was a Turkey Trot in my city!
I usually don’t broadcast my goal but always have some rough idea in my mind. So many unexpected things can happen at a race so I try to go into it as open minded as I can!!
Yay for turkey trots! I never do them, I always do my long run on thanksgiving for the feasting rights haha. Obviously no running for me today, but I joined all the crazies at LA Fitness for an elliptical/bike sweat sesh!
Happy Thanksgiving! I agree that pUmpkin Pie is def the best part!
No turkey themed races here 🙁 but I will be going for a run tomorrow anyway!
My goals are to run five races in the first half of next year! I have managed to talk my little sister into doing about 4 of them with me. I have yet to convince her that she really, really needs to do the Gold Coast half marathon with me 😉
She might come around…..
Something I am thankful for? Definitely my family, my wonderful blogging friends, and being able to run 🙂 oh, and cake, I’m definitely grateful for cake 🙂
yes, let’s all have a collective moment of silence in tribute to cakes!! okay, and i’m adoring how u’re totally wrangling ur sister into becoming a runner!! spread the madness….oh yes, runners are the best kinda mad! 🙂
Isn’t it crazy to look back when 3 miles was a challenge (although some days it still can be, haha!)…but really its so cool to see how much we grow as athletes 🙂 Hope you had a great turkey day!
