  1. Very well said. Such a total horrific tragedy. I am still in shock over it. And the worst part – everyone slowly starts to move on and the poor families who lost their loved ones or are still recovering from injuries have to deal with this for the rest of their lives. I think of the people most effected and how they have to carry on with their lives totally changed while society slowly stops talking about it. Ugh

    • i agree it is a tragedy, but i wouldn’t quite say everyone is just moving on like nothing happened. of course those immediately effected will be scarred for life, BUT i think there are many looking for ways to help those grieving families too. 🙂

  2. Beautifully written Cait. There will never be any sense behind this tragedy, but the community of runners and their supporters will pull together to help each other through this time. Although the horrendous outcome of Monday’s events will affect many for the rest of their lives, the love and support from all corners of the globe is heartening to hear.
I certainly held my family closer on Tuesday when I heard about it, and was reminded of just how lucky my life truly is. Take care of yourself Miss Cait.
