1) What’s motivating YOU this morning?
2) Anyone race this weekend?
3) What is a mental mantra you like to think of to keep you running strong?

My motivation is lacking a little this morning (well… it’s early afternoon). I am going to do an easy run today, no question. But my motivation to do that run OUTSIDE is what I’m lacking. I get ready to go, and then the wind howls again, and my resolve wavers. After yesterday’s long run on the treadmill I’d prefer to run outside, but it’s 10 degrees and the windchill is around 0 degrees. So you can see why I’m having trouble getting motivated 🙂
I was supposed to run a 10 mile race this weekend but it got canceled due to the 2 feet of snow we have. They are tentatively saying the race will be next weekend instead.
My go-to mental mantra, especially during a race when the going gets tough: Can’t stop, won’t stop.
Today was a non-running day for me but I have to say that things like watching 17 year old Mary Cain win the mile yesterday at the Millrose games is pretty dang motivating!!!
I was so tempted to sleep in on this Monday (Aussie time) morning, but seeing this as I scrolled through my emails got me out of bed and ready to go! Thanks for the motivation Cait 🙂 Happy Sunday!
