3 Replies to “Your First BIG Race: I remember mine, Arcadia 2000…Do you remember yours?”
I remember my first 10K in May 2010….I had been casually jogging around and decided to do a race (with the encouragement of Tappan), just to see what it was like.
It was a 10K trail race and it was bottlenecked all over the place and I remember standing in line a lot, waiting for people to go through slow passes. When I finished, I was not even tired because I didn’t even have a concept of what it meant to run fast haha.
Boy things have changed! This weekend I finished a 10K over 25 minutes faster than that…it’s all about teaching your body how to run!

ahhh, the improvement curve, it’s always motivating to look back and see how far u’ve come and how much u’ve slashed those PR’s…keep it up girl! 🙂
