Great job Cait! I had seen all the results you write about here, but your wire-up and comments help me realize the real significance of this weeks racing! Perhaps the best week in January since I have been a active, avid fan! (10 years)
I love watching the running events. I watched the olympic marathon trials when they were on-soooooo good. I totally agree with the lessons that you posted up here, and I think they are valuable ones.
I didn’t do much this weekend, I was sick so I tried to get as much rest as possible.
haha..aww, thanks! oh, i know!! i feel bad for her, i mean talk about kicking urself for weeks afterwards!! but yea, i don’t think i’d ever ease up until i actually was past the line…mostly cuz i’m also a dork and want to eek out as fast of a time as i could. 😛
I went for a run this weekend, but didn’t do or follow any races. I love how you distill a rather esoteric sport into some broadly applicable lessons – especially the one about not assuming anything, and surrounding yourself with people who are better than you are. We must keep trying, always!
sweet…look at u staying dedicated and back into the consistant running…keep it up!! 🙂 thanks for the kind words on the ‘lessons’ too…i know that i’ve learned a LOT from running that applies to life in general.
Love all your points! But the last one is my favorite – its true, surrounding yourself by people and events pushes your game AND the evolution of that passion/sport/art. Adore your blog, daily inspiration and things to think about!

oh man, it’s funny how i complain about a movie that lasts over 90 min’s but my bum is glued to the marathon…lol. awww, i hope u’re feeling better!!
So…I guess I lived under a cave. I didn’t know about any of this and I love how the events of the 2 mile and 5k worked out – incredible!
haha…or maybe it’s just that u have a life!! lol…but ya, how ironically funny is that?? 🙂
I don’t follow the sport – that’s why I read yours and a few others informative and helpful blogs 😉 hahaha
and I can’t believe she eased up before crossing the line…..that seems silly to me.
I love all these points, as per usual.
I didn’t race, didn’t even run this weekend. I had my semi-annual night out! lol
